Advisory

Some words of caution when buying/ selling used products:

1) Before buying a used item make sure to check for recalls. Search recalls here:
http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prerel.html and http://www.recalls.gov/.

2) Car seats: A used seat may have been in a crash or recalled. The manufacturer’s instructions may be missing. If you purchase a secondhand seat, make sure you know the history of the item. The age of the seat may also pose safety concerns after 5 years.
