Information for people who don't use Wee Amici products  

For non-members, Wee Amici may process names, mobile phone numbers, email addresses, or other information if we receive it from our members through the contact syncing or invitation features. 

Wee Amici may also process information about non-members if that information is included in posts, comments, or other content generated by members.

We process this information even if you are not a user of Wee Amici and/or don't have an account with us (a "non-member").

About contact syncing and how it works

When a member grants us access to their device's address book we will access and upload the names, phone numbers, email addresses, and/or other information in their address book on a regular basis to our servers, including those of both users of Wee Amici and other contacts who are not users or don't have an account.

What information is collected about non-members?

We collect the name, mobile phone number, email address, and/or other information of a member’s contacts.

How do we use a non-member's information?

We process the names, phone numbers, email addresses, and/or other information in the address book to see if any of the numbers or email addresses belong to existing members. If a member’s contact is also on Wee Amici, we can suggest this contact as someone to connect to. Members can also invite non-members to join Wee Amici, via email, SMS or social media from Wee Amici. We may also alert members when a contact of theirs joins Wee Amici. 

We retain non-members' personal information for as long as needed to provide the contact syncing feature to members and for the purposes described above. In certain cases, we need to keep your contact information for longer, including after you ask us to erase it. This includes for legal reasons such as to respond to a legal request or comply with applicable law, for regulatory or litigation matters, to prevent harm or for safety, security and integrity purposes. The length of time we need to keep it will depend on the specific reason.

What is our lawful basis for processing?

We rely on our legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of our members to process the names, phone numbers, email addresses, and/or other information of non-members for the purposes described above. More specifically, we rely on our interests in operating and providing features of Wee Amici for our users. 

How non-members may exercise their data subject rights

Under applicable data protection law, non-members have the right to access, rectify, port and erase their information, as well as the right to restrict and object to certain processing of their personal information ("Data Subject Rights"). To do so, please contact privacy@weeamici.com.
